The Rev. Jorge A. Sardiñas Gallery at St. Thomas University was named in honor of its original Director, who bequeathed his artwork collection to the University before sadly passing away on September 14, 2004. The Sardiñas Gallery is a premier exhibition space for contemporary art in Miami–Dade County. Its primary goal is to present and represent unique artists in their approach to the visual arts while providing support for artists at pivotal points in their careers. Our mission is to introduce the STU community to the benefits of enjoying fine art on campus and promote a deeper understanding of contemporary art within our community.
The Gallery is located on the second floor of the university library and is open to visitors during the library's operating hours.
