Printing Services

STU students can print at the Main Library from any of our computer areas or from their own laptops and mobile devices while on campus.

Cost: $0.05 per page
Student Printing Credit: $75.00 per semester (equivalent to 1,500 pages)

Once your balance is depleted, additional pages can be purchased through the OIT in Sullivan Hall.

The Library provides three printers/scanners and one scanner-only machine:

  • First Floor: Printer/scanner and scanner-only machine located next to the elevators

  • Second Floor: Two printers/scanners - one in front of the Writing Center and one in front of Tutoring

Note: Printing and scanning services must comply with U.S. Copyright Law.
Only currently enrolled students and alumni with an STU ID card may use print services.


Wireless Printing Instructions

Students using their own laptops or mobile devices on campus should follow these steps:

  1. Go to STU.edu → Resources → For All → My Bobcat Portal → IT Help Desk → Resources

  2. Choose PC Print Drivers or Mac Print Drivers

  3. Click Download and follow the installation instructions

  4. Once your documents are ready, you’ll receive a MobilePrint notification

  5. Register your STU Bobcat email

  6. Log in to Pharos

  7. All print jobs will appear in the queue (available for up to 2 hours)

Scanning

A scanner-only machine is available next to the elevators on the first floor.
This machine does not make photocopies - it can only scan and send documents to your email.

Scanning is free.

To scan to email:

  1. Press the Fax/Scan button on the machine

  2. Enter your email address

  3. Follow the on-screen prompts

  4. Press the blue START button to send

You will not receive a printed confirmation page, but the scanned file will appear automatically in your email inbox.
If you need a printed copy, open the scanned document from your email and send it to one of the Library’s printer/scanners.

Use of the Library’s scanner for reproducing copyrighted material must comply with U.S. Copyright Law.
