Primary Sources outside of STU

The Association of Religion Data Archives (ARDA) An open access archive of religious data on American religion. ARDA includes some of the best quantitative data on religion. ARDA is supported by the Lily Endowment, the John Templeton Foundation, Chapman University, Pennsylvania State University, and religious scholars from around the world.

Wabash Center for Teaching and Learning in Theology and Religion Funded by the Lilly Endowment, the Wabash Center provides crucial resources and syllabi for teaching theology and religion. This site also includes book reviews and information on important research grants. 

Christian Classics Ethereal Library (CCEL) A large collection of Christian classic texts in the public domain. CCEL includes important primary sources from the Early Church Fathers and Mothers, Saints, and the Reformation. 

Papal Encyclicals Online Described as one of the "Best Free Reference Web Sites" by the American Library Association, Papal Encyclicals gives students access to a large collection of papal encyclicals and other Catholic Church documents. 

The Catholic Worker Movement An in-depth archive of Dorothy Day, Peter Maurin, and the Catholic Worker Movement. 

American Memory Project: American Memory Provides free and open access to written and spoken words, sound recordings, still and moving images, prints, maps, and sheet music that document the American experience. It is a digital record of American history and creativity. These materials, from the collections of the Library of Congress and other institutions, chronicle historical events, people, places, and ideas that continue to shape the United States of America.
