Literature Resource Center

Provides access to scholarly articles in the fields of literature and the humanities. It also provides up-to-date biographies, work and topic overviews, audio interviews, and reviews on a diverse range of writers from all eras.

JSTOR

JSTOR provides full runs of top scholarly journals, books, primary sources, and research reports in the humanities, social sciences, and sciences.

The New York Times Review of Books

Access from January 3, 1988, to the present, with some exceptions.

Project Muse

Provide access to authoritative humanities and social science journals and books from some 400 of the world’s most distinguished university presses and scholarly societies.

 

Encyclopedia/Dictionaries

Reference works, such as Encylopedia and handbooks, are designed for quick fact-finding information rather than in-depth reading.

Britannica Academic

A comprehensive resource for researchers, covering a wide variety of subjects, including literature.

Credo Reference

Credo Reference provides full-text versions of over 3,500 published subject dictionaries and encyclopedia from more than 100 publishers in a variety of major academic subjects, including literature.

A Dictionary of Literary Symbols

Offers about 200 main entries explaining and illustrating literary symbols along with hundreds of cross-references and quotations.

Offers biographies of authors as well as essays on literary, cultural, and historical matters.
